Brands Hatch in Kent (UK) provided the scene for the second round of the Blancpain GT Series Sprint Cup. The #84 Mercedes-AMG GT3 of Maximilian Buhk and Dominik Baumann experienced an average weekend and started from grid position 11 into the qualification race. A drive through penalty relegated car #84 back to 18th position. In the main race both drivers showed great overtaking manoeuvres and managed to finish on a good seventh place. With only four points difference Buhk and Baumann currently hold the runner-up position in the driver championship.
“We arrived to Brands Hatch as championship leaders and leave with a small gap of four points to position one which means we still have all the cards in our hands. In the main race I gained some positions and managed to collect important points“, said Buhk after the race.
With only the shortest of breaks Silverstone (UK) comes up next weekend for the second round oft he Blancpain GT Series Endurance Cup.
